Just the Facts is seeking adult mentors to serve as leadership role models for teens participating in the new program. These mentors will have a unique opportunity to make a lasting investment in the future of our community. By influencing the lives of teens, business and community leaders can shape the next generation of Wiregrass residents. They will also be inspiring a sense of community service in the teens they mentor. Ultimately, adults serving as mentors will be empowering teens of today and cultivating leaders of tomorrow.
Any adults interested in mentoring are encouraged to attend the “Points of IMPACT!” seminar March 8-9, 2012, at the Wiregrass Foundation from 9 am to 4:30 pm daily. The seminar will be led by David Mahan, founder of Frontline Youth Communications, and will provide professional training on such topics as effective youth communication, youth culture, and peer leadership. There is no cost to attend, but there is a $10 fee each day for optional catered lunch. Click the link to register, or contact us for more information.
